, Canada’s leader in precision aerial application is looking for a Director of Maintenance in its Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) division,
located in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Responsibilities:

Manage a team of AMEs and apprentice AMEs including performance reviews, hiring/firing, employee discipline, training & development.

Ensure adherence to technical data, policy, procedures, quality and safe maintenance practices.

Develop and manage budgets for airframes.
-
Responsible for the accurate update of aircraft and component records in both a hard copy & electronic format ensuring compliance with both
company standards and regulatory requirements.

Provide written reports addressing internal & external audit findings, implementation, monitoring and follow-up of corrective actions.

Prepare work order and purchase order packages for upcoming work, including follow up, tracking and receiving.

Control and manage an aircraft spares supply at appropriate stock levels.

Build employee satisfaction by maintaining a positive and safe workplace environment.

May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
A University / College Degree or equivalent education, minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Aviation management experience, preferably with helicopters.

Sound knowledge of and experience with Transport Canada aviation regulations.

Ability to be a hands-on manager.

Self motivated and results oriented with a focus on safety and quality.
-
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
-
Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) and/or Chief Engineer experience preferred.

AMS software “Aircraft Maintenance Manager” experience an asset.
-
Eurocopter Lama and/or Hiller 12ET experience a great asset.
